Tawny owls are found all across England and Wales. In Scotland, they are found in around half of the country, sadly, there have been big declines in the tawny owl in Scotland.

Elsewhere, tawny owls are found throughout most of Europe, however, they are not found in Ireland, Northern Ireland, and nor are they found in much of Scandanavia.

They are also found in a few areas of the Middle East, and part of North Africa.

What is Their Habitat?

These beautiful birds are found living in forests and woodlands.

. Pet trade/being used in displays

Sadly, these are the threats these unique animals face to themselves and their homes. Protecting them, and respecting their right to exist on this world with us is the key to their survival.
