The Moose is an animal that looks gracious and quite prehistoric.


These beautiful animals are found throughout much of the Northern hemisphere. They look quite like a mixture of a deer (with their antlers) and a horse (with their long faces); the Moose is an unmistakable animal.

Moose's are found in the Northern hemisphere in several different countries. Theses countries include Canada, Russia, Norway, Sweden and Finland.

Moose's are found living within ecosystems like forests and wetlands.

Moose's are herbivores - they only eat plants.


Their diet consists of several different plants such as grasses and shrubs, and also includes parts of trees like leafs and branches.

These beautiful animals mate during September and October. When the female Moose becomes pregnant, she will remain pregnant for 8 months, after being pregnant for 8 months, female Moose's typically give birth to one calf.
