An Elephant named Myan Prince has made the news recently over being the victim of animal abuse: Myan Prince is filmed screaming in pain as he is beaten by his owner, in an horrific case of animal abuse.
This poor Elephant was chained up and couldn't move as he was beaten by his owner. Myan Prince was beaten in a Buddhist temple in Sri Lanka.
Myan Prince is a 15 year old Elephant that is currently held in captivity in a Buddhist temple in Sri Lanka. He was chained to trees and lay in a pool as he was cruelly and repeatedly wiped by his owner.
This poor Elephant has suffered tremendously through no fault of his own, sadly, he is not the only Elephant that is held in captivity in this way, it is estimated that there are around 250 captive Elephants in Sri Lanka who may sufferer the same fate as poor Myan Prince. But it doesn't need to be this way.
Together, we can end the cruel captivity of Elephants within Sri Lanka. Please help end Elephants in captivity within Sri Lanka by signing this petition!
