Lowland Tapir

The Lowland Tapir is a species of animal which belongs to the Tapiridae (Tapir family). There are five known species of Tapir, they are: 1) the Lowland Tapir, 2) the Baird's Tapir, 3) the Malayan Tapir, 4) the Little Black Tapir and, 5) the Mountain Tapir. Lowland Tapirs are also known through various different names, such as: the South American Tapir, the Brazilian Tapir and the Amazonian Tapir.

Where Are Lowland Tapirs Found?

Lowland Tapirs are found in South America. They are mostly found within the Amazon and Brazil.

These animals have a wide variety of different habitats.

These habitats include:

These animals seem pretty adaptable because they have a versatile range of habitats - many wild animals are only restricted to one main habitat.
