The UK Government Is Introducing A New Environmental Bill To Protect Wildlife and Tackle Climate Cha


The UK government is introducing a new bill to protect wildlife and tackle climate change! The new Environment bill was introduced on the 30th of January 2020, with the aim of introducing new legislation which will protect wildlife and the environment today and in the future.

The new Environment bill is a 25 year action plan for the environment and wildlife. The UK government has several aims as part of this new bill:

. The aim of restoring our natural world/wildlife

. The aim of stopping climate change

. The aim of stopping plastic pollution

. The aim to improve our air quality

. The aim of building houses in a way that doesn't damage nature

. The aim of delivering local nature spaces for communities

. The aim of protecting water/water being sustainable

. Stopping plastic pollution being exported to developing countries

. Tackling climate change by reaching net zero by 2050

. And two year reviews on the bill to ensure these aims are being met
