The Dwarf Ibis is one of the world's most endangered animals and also one of the world's most endangered birds: they are extremely rare today.

The Dwarf Ibis is a species of bird which is found on an island called Sao Tome off the coast of Africa; they are found nowhere else in the world.

This bird species was last assessed by the IUCN in 2018 and they were listed as critically endangered. These birds also have a very low population: there are only between 50 and 249 of these animals left in the wild today. Their very low population and critically endangered species status means that this species of bird is very vulnerable and close to extinction.

What Are The Threats Faced By The Dwarf Ibis?

The Dwarf Ibis is threatened with extinction because of their very low population and other threats.

There are many other threats to the Dwarf Ibis.

. And roads.

These are some of the commons threats to the Dwarf Ibis, but there are many other threats that they face which could cause their extinction.

What Is Their Habitat?

These animals are found in two different habitats. The first habitat that they are found in is within forests, and the second habitat that they are found in is wetlands. These birds are found inland on the island.

What Do These Birds Eat?

The Dwarf Ibis eats different things, such as snails and slugs, they are also known to eat other invertebrates in the wild.

What Is The Population Trend For These Birds?

Sadly, the population trend for these birds isn't good, the population of the Dwarf Ibis is decreasing.
