One Million Sea Birds Drop Dead Because Of Pacific Heatwave 🌅

One million sea birds have dropped dead in the Pacific due to a heatwave.

The one million sea birds have thought to have died across the Pacific in an area that is known as 'the blob'.

The birds died because of a heatwave; this heatwave caused their source of food to become scarce, which in turn caused the birds to starve to death.

The scientists found that 62,000 common murres (a bird which is found in the Pacific ocean) were killed as a result of this heatwave and washed ashore - the birds were found onshore. The scientists also found that a massive - ONE MILLION BIRDS - died at sea because of the extreme heatwave.

This isn't the first time that animals have dropped to their deaths due to heatwaves over the last few years. For example, in 2018, over the course of just two days in Australia, at least 30,000 Flying Foxes dropped to their deaths because of a heatwave in Australia. With a warming world caused by climate change, it is likely that we will see more of this happening, if nothing is done to stop climate change in the near future.
