Over the festive season, British troops in Africa have been helping to save Africas African Black Rhino.
The British troops devoted their time during the festive season to help these beautiful animals by relocating the Rhinos from South Africa to Malawi to help protect the animals from those who poach them.
Beforehand, the troops devoted three months training rangers in Africa before setting off to relocating the Rhinos to Africa.
The Black Rhino is one of the world's animals who are most at risked of being poached: these animals are killed for their horns. Black Rhino's are also one of the worlds most endangered animals, they are critically endangered.
It is estimated that the current population of Black Rhino's is just over 5,500. With the population of these animals so low, they are at risk of extinction.
Rhinos are disappearing at an alarming rate due to poaching. Save the Rhino - a charity which is devoting to helping save a preserve Rhinos for the future - estimates that there are 2 Rhinos killed every single day, they also say that a Rhino is poached in Africa every 10 hours.
