Pledge To Save Pangolins: The Worlds Most Trafficked Animal

Pangolins are the worlds most trafficked animals. They are thought to account for 20% of all trafficked wild animals and wild animal parts, making these animals the most trafficked animals in the world.

Pangolin poaching is cruel. World Animal Protection highlights the cruelty of Pangolin poaching, they say that Pangolins suffer immensely as part of the Pangolin trade.

There are eight species of Pangolin, and all of them are at risk of extinction because of Pangolin poaching. These animals are poached in Asia, to be used in traditional medicine - which is resulting in Pangolins being driven to extinction. Pangolin poaching, however, is not legal: the trade is illegal but it remains a massive problem today. A total of 300 Pangolins are killed every day because of this trade, and 2.7 Million are killed every year due to poaching.

Poaching is having a devastating effect on the Pangolin population. According to the IUCN, all eight species of Pangolin are seeing a decrease in their population.

Three species of Pangolin: 1) The Sunda Pangolin, 2) The Chines Pangolin, and 3) The Phillippine Pangolin, are all critically endangered today.

Three more species of Pangolin are endangered: 1) The White-bellied Pangolin, 2) The Indian Pangolin, and 3) The Giant Ground Pangolin.

Finally, the last two species of Pangolin: 1) The Black-bellied Pangolin, and, 2) The Temminck’s Pangolin, are vulnerable to extinction.

All of these animals are at risk of extinction in the future. But, it doesn’t need to be like that. Please add your voice to the petition below to help save Pangolins!

Thank you.
