The fires have been so bad over the past few months that it has been reported that Koalas have lost the majority of their habitat - with their habitat being destroyed, Koalas are at risk of extinction. It was also reported that the fires this year have threatened the survival of the Koala population in Australia.
Koalas are one of the top animals threatened by climate change.
