Marks & Spencers is the latest retailer to offer people vegan sausage rolls.
At the beginning of the year, Greggs introduced their own vegan sausage roll in January. The launch of Greggs sausage rolls has been a massive success for the company, as their profits have increased by 58% in the past year, which has helped them earn £1 billion in just under a year.
Greggs isn’t the only one that has been introducing vegan sausage rolls this year: Tesco launched their own vegan sausage roll in April this year too.
Veganism has been rising these past few years. In the next six years Veganism is set to rise even further. It’s estimated that the global vegan market will be worth $31.4 billion by 2026. Vegan food has been the fastest growing takeaway food this year, with a 388% increase in vegan takeaway orders being placed this year.
The Economist has also named 2019 the year of the vegan.
Marks & Spencer is the latest company to roll out hot vegan sausage rolls. You will be able to find them in stores across the country.
