The British Prime Minister Introduces A New Action Plan To Help The Natural World, With £220 Million

Endangered Animals

The British Prime Minister has introduced a new fund to help save the world's most endangered animals. The endangered animals include: the Snow Leopard, the Sumatran Tiger, the African Elephant and the Black Rhino.

Most of these endangered animals that the British government will help are animals which are critically endangered and on the brink of extinction.

These are their current population numbers:

. Snow Leopard Population

Between 2,710 and 3,386 remain in the wild today.

. Sumatran Tiger Population

Less than 400 remain in the wild today.

The African Elephant Population

. The population today is 415,000.

The Black Rhino Population

. Their population today is between 5,000 and 5,400 in the wild.

''The Prime Minister will warn that precious habitats and species are disappearing from our planet faster than at any other time in human history. The world’s animal populations have declined by almost two thirds in the last 50 years, and around a million species now face extinction – many within decades.''
