Please Sign Up For Reviews Law: A Law To Ban The Grand National 🐴

Sadly, at the weekend, a horse named ‘Up For Review’ died at the Grand National.

The Grand National is an annual horse racing event in the United Kingdom. As time has went on, the Grand National has become more controversial.

The reason that the Grand National has become more controversial: is because there have been many horses which have died during the Grand National.

Including the most recent horse at the weekend there; this horse was called ‘Up For Review’. Many people - including myself - found Up For Reviews death upsetting. Up For Reviews death happened live on air, and it looked like the poor horse had a violent seizure and suffered just before his death.

The worst thing about Up For Reviews death; is that it was unnecessary. Animals being used in the name of entertainment, and dying as a result of that entertainment, is unnecessary. And it is also cruel.

Forcing horses to run around a four mile course, while jumping 30 high fences, in a short period of time - like they do at the Grand National, is cruel.

It’s no wonder that so many horses have died during this horse race.

The good news, however: is, that it doesn’t need to be this way. Horses do not need to be used as tools of entertainment, nor die as a result of that entertainment - it can be different. And our voices together can make a difference.

So, please sign this petition to help make that difference, and ban the Grand National, so that no other horse has to suffer the same death as Up For Review did.
