Global Warming: The Last Four Years Have Been The Warmest On Record

The planet has been the warmest it has ever been for the past four years, since records began, new information from NASA reveals.

According to new information released by NASA about the worlds climate in 2018, last year was the fourth warmest. The global temperature last year was 0.83c above average' providing evidence that global warming is warming up our planet, and having an effect on our planet and our planets temperature already. Some isolated spots in the planet were slightly colder than average. However, the vast majority of the planet did see temperatures increase above the normal temperature. Whats-more, the Northern Hemisphere saw more of an increase in temperatures, compared with the Southern Hemisphere - this was especially true in places like Alaska, Russia, and Europe. Most places in the world didn't escape an increase.

Europe last year, in 2018, saw its warmest year since records began - according to the report. Several European countries also saw their highest ever temperature in 2018. These countries were: Switzerland, France and Germany. Global warming was greatly affecting Europe last year; but it was not the only areas of the world which were affected by increasing temperatures.

There were record warm temperatures last year in Europe, and also one of Europe's most well-known seas - the Mediterranean sea. The Mediterranean sea was not the only water ecosystem in the world which saw a rise in temperatures. Many of the worlds oceans also saw a rise in temperatures, including: the Pacific Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean - these oceans saw record warm temperatures in 2018, as the the waters surrounding New Zealand. The last area of the world which saw record warmth temperatures was the middle east, resulting in our water ecosystems being effected.

The evidence shows that over the last few decades - from the 1980s, up to the 2010s - that global temperatures have been increasing. In just the last five years, those global temperatures have increased significantly, showing that global warming poses a real threat to life today. Global warming is affecting our planet right now. It is affecting all of us: humans, animals and plant life.
