Back From The Brink: Natural England's Amazing Effort To Help England's Most Endangered Spec

Back From The Brink

Natural England has came up with a new way to help England's most endangered wild animals, and it is amazing!

It is called 'Back From The Brink.'

Back From The Brink has brought together all of England's top 20 endangered wild animals. These 20 wild animals are the most endangered, and are the wild animals which are most at risk of extinction in England. There are different types of species listed in Back From The Brink, from bats, to frogs, and from birds to insects - it shows that there are many different types of species at risk of extinction in England today.

The aim of Back From The Brink, is to bring back these species from the edged of extinction. Back From The Brink will not just help protect and preserve England's most endangered wild animals, they will be working to help preserve 150 natural habitats in England. Natural England is leading the way and showing other countries how they can protect their own wild animals and natural habitats.

It is something that could, and should be applied in Scotland, as it is desperately needed. In Scotland, the Scottish Wildcat is at risk of becoming extinct, partly due to their natural forest habitat being destroyed - in Scotland, endangered animals

The great thing about Natural England's Back To The Brink project, is that it is shinning a light on endangered animals which people don't know about. Many of the species in Back To The Brink aren't well-known. They don't have the same publicity as well-known endangered animals, such as Tigers. It shines a light on species such as insects, frogs and bats which don't get the same publicity; but can be more vulnerable to the threat of extinction.

It also shines a light on endangered flora and fauna. Flora and fauna also don't get much publicity when they are endangered. However, Back To The Brink is also shinning a light on endangered plants, and working to save them from becoming endangered. Preserving our flora and fauna is essential for healthy ecosystems. Without them, we would not have healthy ecosystems; they are as important to ecosystems as wild animals are.

There are two ways that you can get involved in Back To The Brink. The first way is by volunteering: there are many opportunities around the country to volunteer with Back To The Brink and help save wildlife. You can also donate to them.
