Top Five Ways You Can Become Environmentally Friendly 🌳

Environmentally Friendly

As we've become more aware of how we are polluting the planet; we are looking for more ways that we can have an environmentally friendly life. Becoming more environmentally friendly, is about making small changes in our lives, that have massive impacts for the environment, ourselves and wild animals who we share this planet with. It helps us to treat our planet with respect and helps us to create a world which is healthier for us all - people and animals alike.

Just small changes in our lives can help us to make these positive changes. We are going to look at some of the best ways that you can become more environmentally friendly.

#1 Using Reusable Bags

One of the biggest polluters in the world: is plastic bags. Plastic bags are the main cause of marine pollution. They pollute oceans and they also cause harm to marine animals. Marine animals get tangled up in plastic bags (and other plastics), which either can cause these marine animals a slow and painful death, or kill them through suffocation. Therefore, plastic bags might seem harmless, but, beyond their initial use - plastic bags can cause horrific effects for wild animals, and the environment also.

Soloution:

Instead of using plastic bags, you can use re-usable bags which do not pollute in the same way. Tote bags or paper bags can be an excellent alternate for things such as shopping. And, tote bags and paper bags disappear a lot quicker than plastic bags.

#2 Environmentally Friendly Cleaning Products

Cleaning products can be detrimental to the environment. Even when the water is treated. Chemicals from the cleaning products still end up in the environment, especially in water systems such as: ponds, rivers, seas and oceans, even when the water is treated. Not only does this affect the environment, especially the marine environment, it also affects the animals which are in those environments, and can cause them to either be poisoned, or even be killed.

Solution:

You can instead use cleaning products which are environmentally friendly. You can find these products in supermarkets.

#3 Save Energy

Saving energy not only helps the environment, it also helps you too: it can help you save money, when you turn off energy that you are not using. Instead of having lights, or other energy burning in your home that you are not using, you can turn them off: this helps to save you money, and it helps the environment because it cuts down on energy pollution. This is a simple and cost-effective way of becoming environmentally friendly.

Solution:

To save energy, simply turn off electricity when you are not using it.

#4 Reducing Your Meat Intake

If you want to see how damaging meat can be to the environment, then you should watch the documentary called Cowspiracy which shows how damaging the agriculture industry is to the environment. Avoiding meat and dairy is the best way of reducing your carbon footprint. Therefore, changing your diet can help you to become more environmentally friendly and help the planet.

Solution:

Changing your diet is one good way to become more environmentally friendly.

#5 Reduce Your Plastic Use

This one is similar to the first one, but, it includes all plastic, instead of just plastic bags. Reducing your plastic usage can help you to minimize pollution which comes from your products. other types of plastic, and not just plastic bags, also end up in the worlds oceans. These can include things such as straws and cotton buds.

Solution:

Instead of using things such as plastic straws, there is a better alternative: using biodegradable straws. By using biodegradables, you can help reduce pollution, and become more environmentally friendly - which benefits all of us - animals, humans and the planet.

Final Thoughts

By making small changes in our lives, like the changes lined out above, we can help to make a positive impact on our world. We can help to make the world a cleaner place. We can help to reduce the pollution which kills and harms wild animals. Which pollutes our oceans, seas, rivers and other water systems in our world.

By reducing our waste, and becoming more environmentally friendly in our lives, we can help create a better world for us all.
