Portugal is another country which is set to ban animals in circuses. The country will join a long and growing list of countries which have banned animals in circuses. It is estimated that there are now over 40 countries which have banned animals in circuses, and there are more countries set to follow. For example, the UK government is set to ban animal circuses in England in 2020. Wales and Scotland have also followed.
Portugal, on the other hand, will ban animals in circuses in 2024.
