Los Angeles Bans The Sale Of Real Fur!

Los Angeles

Los Angeles has followed many others in banning fur. The Los Angeles fur ban comes just days after London Fashion Week banning fur. London Fashion Week banned the use of real fur for the first time ever last week. They have followed fashion labels such as Gucci this year, in banning real fur. The Los Angeles fur ban follows many other bans on fur this year.

It looks like 2018 will be a year that the fashion industry turned its back on using real fur! Which is welcoming for the poor animals which are used in the fur industry. The fur industry is known for its immense cruelty towards animals. Animals suffer immensely, from the conditions that they are kept in, from the torture that is inflicted on them and for the painful deaths that these poor animals have to endure.

Animals are killed by being bludgeoned to death, or electrocuted while still alive; in the fur industry. Something which causes immense distress and suffering to the animals which are unfortunate enough to be part of this industry.

Los Angeles Fur Ban: The Biggest Of Its Kind

The Los Angeles Fur Ban will be the biggest of its kind, as the city will be the largest to ban fur. The banning of animal skins means that shops will no longer be allowed to sell real fur, which is groundbreaking!

This isn't the case everywhere. For example, fur farms were banned in the United Kingdom in 2000, however, the sale of fur in the United Kingdom is not illegal. Though, that might change. Animal rights campaigners and politicians are proposing a bill to parliament that would see the United Kingdom banning real fur from being sold in shops.

LAs move could help influence the UK and help to ban the sale of real fur. This is not the only way that the LA law could be influential. LA is known to set fashion trends, it is the home f Hollywood, which means that its decision to ban the sale of real fur, could have a profound effect on the rest of the World.
