The Queen has banned plastic in royal estates. The move by the Queen to ban plastic comes with a determination by the Queen to tackle the issue of plastic in our environment.

In other words, the Queen is banning plastic due to the negative effects that plastic has on our world. These negative effects include harming wild animals and causing pollution. Plastic pollution is a major problem, as it takes hundreds of years for plastic to degrade into the world.

This is why there is a movement towards banning plastic.

Instead of using plastic, the palace estates will start to use glass and biodegradable in their place. These materials are easier to degrade and they are easier to recycle, which is why they are being used. The change will effect royal estates such as Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle and Scottish royal households.
